the MET BARRIER was first designed here in the UK in the late 90s after a need by the Police Force in London for a barrier stronger and heavier than a standard crowd barrier - yet not as "in your face" as a fully fledged front of stage style barricade. This was for soft protests - able to hold large crowds in situ without giving them the impression of being trapped.

Very quickly the barrier was taken under the wing of those in the live event world, and used across the industry from music festivals to concerts, city centre gatherings to mass participation events.

Today that is still very much the case with the MET BARRIER being a standard sight at the majority of larger events around the UK and more recently, Europe.

There are many imitations on the market today, mainly made in the Far East, but there is only one official MET BARRIER which we manufacture in Europe and distribute to the massive variety of users and specifiers directly.
